LEARNING

At our nursery, we are dedicated to nurturing your child's self-esteem, confidence, and independence. We prioritise listening to them closely and encourage them to express themselves, ask questions, and tackle challenges. We hold high expectations for their learning journeys and value their opinions.

During structured play activities, every child will have the opportunity to succeed, and we will support them in persevering or trying new strategies if they encounter difficulties. Sometimes, taking a break and returning to a task later can be helpful, and we encourage this approach.

Our activities and resources are thoughtfully chosen to spark and nurture your child's natural curiosity. They will promote language development, mathematical thinking, imaginative play, and social skills. Ultimately, ensuring your child's happiness in their activities is at the heart of what we do.

We aim to make toys and learning materials easily accessible so that children can make independent choices when they're ready. During these moments, we'll observe and support them, stepping in only when they ask for help or need guidance on key concepts. We also believe in discussing important values, such as understanding right and wrong and what it means to be a good citizen, in a way that is developmentally appropriate for your child.

Additionally, we will explore various mini-topics, themes, or interests such as transport, seasons, celebrations, or favourite stories, and we encourage you to engage in these learning experiences at home. Each day, we'll talk about the day of the week, the date, and the weather. The variety of fun activities we can offer to meet learning goals is vast, so please share any specific interests your child has, as we would love to incorporate them into our plans.
